Fr. Kenneth Makamure of Masvingo Diocese will be celebrating his silver jubilee anniversary as a priest on 24 February 2018 at Gokomere Mission. Home celebrations will be on 25 February at Makamure homestead, Maraire Village in Zimuto. The Bishop of Masvingo Diocese, Rt. Rev. Michael Bhasera will celebrate mass to thank the Lord for the spiritual journey traveled by Fr. Makamure. Fr. Makure was ordained on 9 January 1993 at Gokomere Mission. He was in the same class with Fr. Masanganise and Fr. Mavhiya, former Frs. Chigwende and Foto (Snr) of Gweru Diocese and Frs. Ndhlalambi and Isidore Mutiro of the Archdiocese of Harare. 
Jacob Mpofu of Bulawayo, Conrad Chibango of the then Hwange Diocese and Charles Mbala Mazvimavi were also his classmates at Chishawasha Seminary.
