ZCBC Secretariat celebrates holy mass in honour of Pope Benedict XVI

ZCBC Secretary General Fr. Tryvis Moyo CSsR presides over mass to pray for Pope Benedict XVI

The Zimbabwe Catholic Bishops’ Conference (ZCBC) Secretariat, led by the new Secretary General, Fr. Tryvis Moyo CSsR, today, 04 January 2023, celebrated holy mass to pray for the repose of the soul of the late Pope emeritus Benedict XVI. The mass which was held at the Conference’s headquarters in Harare was attended by ZCBC workers who prayed and acknowledged Pope Benedict’s contribution in the Church worldwide.

Fr. Tryvis Moyo described Pope Benedict as a humble but great theologian and leader who worked tirelessly to unite the people of God in the world. He said his teachings inspired people from different walks of life. The mass was meant to celebrate the late Pontiff’s legacy who died on Saturday, 31 December 2022 at the age of 95.
