Carmelite Sisters on a mission to Malawi

The Handmaids of Our lady of Mount Carmel also known as the Carmelite Sisters, have opened new grounds in Malawi where they were invited to start a community in the Archdiocese of Lilongwe by Archbishop George Tambala.

The two Sisters, Valentine Gudhlanga and Evelyn Kadzere HLMC, bid farewell to Zimbabwe on 23 March 2023 after a send-off mass in Mutare by Bishop Paul Horan. Archbishop George Tambala invited the Carmelite Sisters to minister in areas of Pastoral work and in education in the Archdiocese of Lilongwe. The two ambassadors will represent not only the Carmelite Sisters but the Church in Zimbabwe.
